Native Resolution of HVR-Z1U camcorder	1080i and 480P 16 x 9 widescreen resolution. The 1080i resolution it produces is compatible with all modern day High Definition televisions.
Audio Inputs	Two XLR Audio inputs remove the need for adaptors or specialized cables to capture audio. Camera can split audio feed between two microphones recording in mono.
Tape Format/ CCD	Z1U is a 3 CCD Camera which captures HD Resolution video using HDV. HDV is derived from a codec that allows HD Video to fit on current 60 minute Mini DV Tape formats.
